Rosesdead is looking for a new vocalist and drummer / Winter Update

What's up everyone, hope all of you had a good holiday season!
Here's what has been going on in the Roses camp as of late.
First of all we've been doing a lot of writing since we came home from tour in November.
We're all pretty stoked on it and not to mention it's a pretty good excuse to not be out in the cold!

Secondly some of you might already know that we've been without a singer and drummer for the past couple months.
We've had some friends filling in for the past tours to keep us on our feet, but now it's time to regroup and find some permanent members.

Here's what we're looking for:
People at least 19 years old (we're all 22-23) with a positive attitude, an open mind and nothing at home that will prevent them from being on tour for extended periods of time.
Please be sure you are willing to travel or relocate to Oakville, ON.

Interested vocalists:
We are looking for a vocalist who is able to represent our band in a positive manner.
We're not searching for someone that can sound the exact same as our last singer, so please be sure to show us your own sound. On-stage presence and confidence is an important role as the front man of the band. Make sure you are comfortable with this.
Be sure to take the opportunity to show us all you are capable of vocally.
Important!: If you can sing/hit notes, great! Please add some of that in on your demo.

Visit rosesdead.net/vocals and download the vocal-less version of "Night Danger".
The lyrics can be found on our myspace page.
Record yourself over it and send the mp3 to rosesdead@gmail.com as well as a little info about yourself.

Interested drummers:
We're looking for an experienced drummer who hits hard and is super comfortable playing the songs solo.
Experience playing with a click track is a bonus
Make sure you have/willing to buy tour ready gear. (You wouldn't believe what kind of damage a month of touring can do to a drum kit without cases)

Please record yourself playing "Falling and Failing" (this can be audio or video)
Send the file or a link to rosesdead@gmail.com as well as some info about yourself.

If you know of anyone who might be interested, please be sure to let them know and send them our way!

-Thanks!

October Update

What's up!
How's everyone doing? I know over here we're all praying the snow is going to stay away for as long as possible. Especially since we're just about to leave for tour. We're going to on the road with Sydney and The Bleeding alarm for the next month. After that we'll be heading to eastern Canada. Expect those dates up shortly.

Things have been pretty crazy over here for the last while, and a bunch of things have been going on. One of these being Wedge leaving the band.
Wedge has decided to quit Rosesdead and not play music fulltime. Touring had really started to take a serious toll on his mental and physical health. He decided that taking a break from touring and all of this will help him get back to full health. We wish him the best of luck with everything and hope he'll be back to rockin at full capacity with FDLS in no time.

Also, Shane was recently presented with an awesome school involved work placement and had to make the tough choice to take a break from the band while he finishes his degree. The man is a
computer genius, and if you ever talked to him on tour I'm sure you could tell.

Not to worry though, our good friends James and Kyle will be filling in on vocals and drums respectively for the next couple months. We played our first show with the new line up last night in St. Catharines and it was way too much fun.

Hopefully we'll see a bunch of you at the Hamilton show on Wednesday. The last few times we played there were pretty amazing. Please come on out and show the new guys what the Hamilton scene is all about.

We have a bunch of brand new merch for this tour as well as some older favourites, so please be so kind to help us out by picking something up at a show. The road is real cold this time of year and we need that gas in our van to keep us warm. :)

Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and we'll see you soon!

Fall Tour

Hey everyone
Thanks for checking up on us. we've been hard at work getting ready for our next tour coming up. starting next week we'll be on tour with sydney and the bleeding alarm. there was some speculation that we weren't on this tour since our website hadn't been updated in a while, but alas we've just been really busy. we'll be out with sydney for about a month, covering most of the canada. after that we plan on heading to the east coast. we're working on something sweet for that, so check back and see what's up. hope everyone has a sweet thanksgiving and hopefully we'll see you soon!
